Avatar : The Game - Senior Texture/Model
Most recently, senior Modeler/Texture artist on 'James
Cameron's Avatar : The Game' for next gen systems. Now modeling
in adition to texturing, using fun tools such as Zbrush extensively.
My work on this project involves modeling/texturing of organic
environment assets, as well as several weapons some of which I
designed from scratch. Also some creature work in the form of
skeleton and corpse models.

Rainbow
Six Vegas 2: 2007-2008 - Senior Texture
A good introduction to next gen engines, I
was texture artist on Rainbow Six Vegas 2, using Unreal3 technology
for X360, PS3 and PC. Tasks included optimizing and organization
of old assets, as well as texturing new assets and maps.
It has gone on to earn great scores and reviews, glad the fanbase
enjoyed it!

Surf's
Up : 2006-2007 - Texture
A great first project to launch my gaming career. This
project provided enough freedoms, as well as restrictions, to find
my groove as a texture artist, while still being consistently challenged.
I was promoted to senior level for remarkable performance.
Indeed I wouldn't change having begun on this project & team! |

Client History
About Me
This is (Pierre Theriault) Art-Machine's online portfolio web
site.
I got my start in comics over 10 years ago, spending many years
as colourist at Dreamwave and Udon
comics, freelancing for Marvel, Image,
DC publishers. Worked on various
titles including the blockbuster 'Transformers'
series as lead colourist, followed by some time on the successful
'Street Fighter' comic.
After much experience in comics I made the transition to gaming
as texture artist at Ubisoft. I have
since progressed to senior texture artist, and senior model/texture
artist. Titles unclude Surf's Up,
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and James
Cameron's Avatar.
I love games and want to leave the business better than I found
it. I want to see the industry thrive as an art form, experience,
and product. I am interested in working with any company that
values the player's game experience and satisfaction above all
else. I also have my own ideas that I hope to some day get a chance
to have produced should the opportunity present itself.
